Discovering Home- Tourist Style

Being a Marwari I always imagined my trip to Rajasthan to be about sitting in my own ancestral Haveli sipping chaas (buttermilk). However a 6 day trip like a tourist to Jaipur, Jodhpur and Jaisalmer with family turned out to be much more than I expected.

Friendly street kids to making german friends on the train, riding on raja Hindustani (our camel) to sitting with mehndi infront of the heater for hours, every minute was an experience. And the best part? I shared it with 30 other people. Yes my maternal part of the family is huge and very understanding as they say nothing to me when I stop after every two steps to click a picture.

As I travelled from the pink to the golden to the finally the blue city, I clicked my fair share of pictures . Some of which I am putting up here, hoping my humble home will make it to your list of ' places to visit'.

PS: Clicked with my new D7000. Yes,  I am now a  proud owner of one :)
